IB Diploma Programme

IBDP is the abbreviation of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is two years diploma programme for the school students of age 16 to 19 by an IBO(International Baccalaureate Origination) formed in Geneva in 1960's with headquarters in Switzerland. IB is accepted as a entry for higher education and was recognized by many world wide universities.

IB Syllabus and Education: Currently IB was thought in three languages English, French and Spanish may this count may increase in day to day, to proven there knowledge and exposure there ideas students are assessment with two task in schools in each six different subjects, one is internally marked by each subject teachers this may be oral, written or piratical work and then examined by external moderators. Generally IBDP is well challenging carrier for the students for the grow up there hidden skills and to give interdisciplinary thinking skills to the students

Subjects: Students in IB must take six subjects group and offered with multiple options on each group students should take one subject from each group based on given multiple choises

Group 1 : English
Group 2 : French ab initio / French B / Tamil B
Group 3 : Economics / Business Management
Group 4 : Physics / Chemistry / Biology
Group 5 : Mathematics HL / Mathematics SL / Further Mathematical Studies SL
Group 6 : Music / Visual Arts / Chemistry / Economics/ ITGS

Students asked to choose a single subject on each group, the selection can be based on the children interest to make it best in there carrier.

IB Exams and Procedure: IB exams are conducted are examined by both Internal and External examiners, Internal exams can be a Oral test, or a piratical or written work this is based on subjects. Each subjects may have two to three different papers focus on different area of syllabus eg: if the student taking chemistry exam he may take three papers, Paper 1 may have multiple chose question, Paper 2 may have extended response questions, and Paper 3 is open to teacher, teacher can choose/conduct based on there interest. This is to make students to have a through knowledge on there subjects. In IB marks are given in grades based on grades points are awarded from 1 to 7. The maximum awarded points in IB is 45 the minimum of 24 points is the eligibility score for IB Certified. Students get a minimum of 12 points in their Higher Level subjects and a minimum of 9 points from their Standard Level subjects. Additionally, candidates must complete all of the requirements for the EE, CAS and TOK.


University Recognition: IB was recognized in 75 countries around the world and 2000 universities offering IB education, schools offering IB may come under IBO in the medium of syllabus and examination they offer recognition for the schools based on the infrastructure and performance check the IB recognized schools here
